In 1985, Claude Samuel opened a small clinic and next to it a careful selection of eyeglass frames, on the entrance floor of a residence on Rembrandt Street. One could see this as the beginning of a tradition, but in fact it was more of a closing of a circle. His personal history takes Claude back to Paris in 1848, when his ancestors started cutting lenses and adapting them to vision needs.
